Four Months, Feet, and Fun!

Here is a (small) sample of MP's last photo shoot... This month brought ALL sorts of new discoveries!
For example, I discovered that these month-by-month pictures will be a bit more challenging now that she understands that she can not only peel the sticker off her clothes, but she can crumple it up and eat it! Yum! :) Here are a few of the "frustrating" shots that I will treasure forever and ever...

NOW THAT I FOUND YOU I CAN'T LET YOU GO!!
She officially discovered her feet the other day. Now she has to hold on to them just to make sure they aren't going anywhere.
She holds them in the car seat...
She holds them in the bed...
She holds them when she's wearing pink...
She holds them by her head!

Okay, so maybe I've been reading too much Dr. Seuss...

Here's another great one. She LOVES looking at herself (and me and Mike) in the mirror. Just when I was running out of tricks in my entertainment bag - this one has been hilarious!

More to come in the days ahead. Hope you all are well and enjoying these dog days as much as we are. One more week until FOOTBALL season! Can't wait to get our little munchkin dolled up and ready to whoop up on Louisiana Tech! Stay tuned for more! Love, Laura

Mary Patton's Alabama debut!

We had an AMAZING trip to Alabama! From the airplanes, to our stay at Casa Walters, Hotel a la Nana, and Chateau Brown, to our trip to Jasper and Sylacauga, the trip was filled with family and friends, laughter and love - the stuff of great memories!

There were just TOO many pictures to try and upload to the blog, so I attached a link to all ...118 pictures! If any of you happen to have pictures of your own please send them my way!

Here's the link on Kodak Gallery to the photos:

Dad took this little video at Mary Lee's shop in Sylacauga - Mary Patton got to meet her "Great Mimi" Mary Jo, and meet her Great Aunt Mary Lee. This would make a great Visa commercial:
Plane ticket to Alabama = $200
Gas for the drive to Sylacauga = $25
Digital camera = $300
Capturing forever your grandmother playing "peep-eye" with your daughter... ...priceless.

Uncle Jack and Papa C come to visit!

Our great Cajun friends Chris Gaudet and his 10-yr old son Jack ("11 in 5 days," says Jack) came to Austin for some business with Mike, and then spent the night with us! We loved having them with us, though we were sad that Sue couldn't be here as well. She is a devoted teacher in Louisiana and has just started back to school.
Chris and Mike were outside cooking burgers on the Egg, and Mary Patton was fussing in the swing while I got dinner together in the kitchen. I looked out when she stopped crying, and I realized why!! Jack scooped her up and gave her the princess attention she wanted! Thanks Uncle Jack! :)We had a great dinner and even better dessert - our neighbor Amy brought homemade peach cobbler over! Can anyone say treadmill??
